Gene

Gene coordinates the Group Counseling aspect of the HOPE Counseling Center.  This arm of the HOPE Counseling center offers the Living Waters program, a 20 week course designed to address sexual and relational brokenness. Gene has had four years of experience counseling and caring for issues related to sexuality, relationships, and biblical spirituality. Gene graduated with his Master of Divinity (M.Div) in Christian Ministry in 2012. He is also pursuing a PH.D in Pastoral Theology (Biblical Counseling) from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville K.Y. He is from Columbus, GA and enjoys reading, playing the piano, and learning the violin. His specific areas of interest and his theological education has prepared him to counsel the following (but are not limited to):

  • Same-Sex Attraction

  • Sexual Identity

  • Gender Identity

  • Sexual Abuse

  • Porn Addiction
